Christians are called to represent Jesus' truth and justice in the world, but there are a lot of conflicting versions of what that is supposed to look like. These days, one person's righteous crusade for truth can be seen by another as an evil injustice. How do we reconcile the many different voices who claim to know the right answer? Biblical injustice is complex, but we can create a consistent biblical worldview by recognizing the six ingredients of righteousness, as seen through the biblical prophets. These prophets were speaking to a nation that had lost its way, and their values are relevant to us today. These righteous values are generally agreed upon, even by people of different faiths, but when they get out of balance, injustice prevails. Too much or too little of each ingredient ruins the whole cake. But like a good recipe, when we apply the right truths in the right balance, then we create a delicious dessert of God's justice!
